When we look in a mirror, who do we see?

Do we like him or her? Do we have self-esteem?

Self-doubt can creep slowly into our minds

And make those mountains too steep to climb.

When hope feels bleak, I ask for God’s help.

He’s been there for me, with all I’ve been dealt.

From cancer to car wrecks, when the light was dim,

He supported a miracle through thick and thin.

I think back on hurdles and times I did doubt.

He gave me resilience and the will to learn how…

How to have faith, both in Him and in me.

He gave me that strength to self-believe.

So let’s grab our strong mindedness, guts, and grit,

That self-confidence. Play each game to win!

Make that faith within be loud and clear.

Trust ourselves and persevere!

Let’s face each day with a “can-do” attitude.

Prove the doubters wrong and the skeptics, too.

Put trials in the past and look ahead to more…

More triumphs to come. Lift our wings and soar!

Let’s look once again, at that image we see.

Think of what we do well and how we succeed.

Smile at ourselves, make those dimples grow.
